To choose whether to use an online Will, make one over the
telephone or contact a solicitor to draft your Will, will
completely depend on the extent and size of your estate. Drafting a
Will can be far more complicated the larger the estate
and the more complex it is.
Online Wills are very easy and basic. For a first Will they are
fine as presumably your estate would be quite small. Online Wills
are great for when you have bought your first house, getting
married or just had a baby. You can fill in a quick, easy and cheap
questionnaire dealing with the important facts of your Will, for
example who would get what when you die.
Telephone Wills are ideal for those who are not computer
literate. It is also a great way to gain advice
and information on queries that may arise. You will be guided
through the whole questionnaire process, which will mean questions
can be asked and answers given. Generally when you call to draft a
Will, you will be speaking to a Will writing expert or a legal
professional who will be aware of the law relating to Wills
and Probate. Drafting your Will over the telephone is slightly more
expensive than an online Will, but you do receive personal input
and guidance so that there is less chance of mistakes.
